Why the name splonk? What does it mean?

Maybe a catchier name might help to describe what it is that you are offering.

Do you remember a few years ago when people were giving framed shares of Disney as gifts?

I think you could do something similar. Maybe give it the all out gift approach. You probably would be able to up the price a few bucks to cover it.

The biggest thing that strikes me when i visit your site is that it looks shady.

I would re-design the site and make it more whimsical and fun.

These are offers that people will give as gifts, so it needs to have more of an entertainment type approach.

Right now it looks like a site that was thrown together in the afternoon.

I also think you need to tell the benefit story. What do people actually get if they buy a policy?

it needs a mascot a catchy logo design some web 2.0 features social media etc.

You have no pictures of what the certificate and policy actually looks like that the person would receive.

Also, you have a section that says "You will be mailed these items with your policy:

Claim form
Policy Terms and conditions
Certificate for framing
Splonk key ring
Fun surprise gift
FREE POSTAGE"

Before I buy, I'd want to see a picture of all the goodies I get for $50. And the price is very steep. I think you'd sell more at $10-$15 and by cutting the "fun surprise gift" out. I wouldn't send a package to someone if I didn't know exactly what was in it and for that I need pics, especially at such a high price.

Your font is too small and your graphic with the "End of the world" etc is blurry. Overall it doesn't look like a joke type site. Joke sites need to be larger than life in every way. You need brighter, more outrageous colors (orange, lime green, yellow? )and more pictures. Plus funny testimonials would be good.

Get some cartoons done of a guy with a big grin clutching his policy while getting beamed up into a spaceship or attacked by a werewolf saying " Phew! Thank goodness for Splonk Insurance!" or similar. Get a cartoon for each coverage option to put on the page that details the cover. The whole site needs a much lighter and fun energy. I think the toilet paper paper-cut's hilarious. The overall idea's good and needs more pow! The main thing is to show pictures of the product.

It is way too small and hard too read.

Reduce the amount of content a little and make the font bigger.
