Non-traditional ways to sell a home
Like everyone else, it seems, I am faced with trying to sell my home in Lombard, IL in a market that is simply abysmal. We just had an offer fall through due to the buyer's financing getting turned down. We are not in forclosure, not looking at a short sale, and getting showings - it is a nice raised ranch in a desirable neighborhood.
Our deal has dragged on for two months and in the meantime we have found a house we love and purchased contingent upon sale of our house. After all this effort, we would hate to lose our dream home and are looking for new ways to sell our current property without chopping the price to ridiculous levels. (We need the current price we had agreed upon to have sufficient down payment for our purchase).
We're not in a financial situation to do a bridge loan until our current house will sell. Can anyone suggest quick ways to sell a house that are a bit outside the box?
