My bedding really needs a makeover and I can't quite run to splashing out on a new comforter set at $80+ right now. I've heard there are easy cover up options for quilts that don't take much in the way of needlework skills if at all. Any ideas? I want to give the beds a new look and it not to be a two week project! It would be nice to have some coordinating extras too like pillows.

I do have a sewing machine that I use for very basic jobs like curtains once in a blue moon. I can break that out if I have to as long as the task is simple. I'm no expert. Thanks!
