According to Nintendo last November there are 11.7 million female console gamers in the US market alone; 80% of them choose the Wii, 11% the Xbox360 and 9% the PS3 . My guess is the Wii Fit is a very significant portion of that number.

The Wii aside, what kind of video games would appeal to grown women (21+) and could be specifically targeted at them? All the games designed for females I know of are for little girls. Female gamers are an ever growing breed. What's missing from the market that Microsoft and Sony should be setting their sights on to regain market share?
