Best Garnish for a Bloody Mary
I have seen bartenders garnish Bloody Marys with everything. But I want to hear about the best garnish you have ever had in a Bloody Mary.
Spicy or sweet, hard or soft, any ingredient could be the best idea!
Make my bloody mary great.
The juicy lime wedge is enough of a garnish, but here's where many like to get creative. A stalk of celery, often with leaves, is probably the next most popular garnish. After that, each bartender has his or her own favorite additives; olives, onions, pickled asparagus spears, even smoked meats have been known to be used as Bloody Mary garnishes.
Too many garnishes can make the drink look like it has been garnished with a salad, though the Bloody Mary undeniably goes well with all those ingredients. An alternative is to serve an appetizer tray of vegetables and salami, mixed cheeses, and a selection of fancy crackers or toasted bread rounds.
