Cocktails come in so many flavors that it is almost mind-numbing.

But what is also mind-numbing are the infant number of shapes for glasses to drink a cocktail from.

What shape of glass is your absolute favorite?  It doesn't matter what the drink is, what is the glass is what matters for this discussion.

I enjoy sipping desert wine out of a brandy snifter. Most other cocktails I drink out of a rocks glass.

My LEAST favorite is a martini glass! lol

Glass with a form-fitted leather cover. Works like a built-in koozie, but is suitable for more upscale uses.

I don't know what the type of glass I like is called :) It's almost as tall as a Margarita Glass, but thinner where it's held. The glass should also have a stem at the bottom which is comfortable to hold. I also like two-toned and frosted glass.

Cheers!

I must have a cocktail in a glass made of glass! No paper or plastic cups! Somehow I think it tastes different to me depending on what it's served in.

My favorite shape for a cocktail hands down is a martini glass. Even if I'm not drinking a martini, I really like the way martini glasses look and feel.

Just don't tip the glass too much or drink too fast when you're tipsy!

I prefer using plastic glasses for a couple of reasons. One, they are lighter weight. Two, they don't seem to "sweat" as much as glass. Three, they are unbreakable. And four, I like the feel of plastic against my mouth as I drink as opposed to glass. The perfect plastic glass would be at least 16 oz size but not larger than 20 oz size. No need for a stem.

I prefer my cocktails in a high ball glass. They hold more and are easier to hold.

I don't know if they make these, but I'm in love with the glasses produced for the Bombay Sapphire Cocktail Glass Competitions. I'd buy them in pairs:
