Extending on idea #2, it would be even cooler to interface with the community via mobile apps and quickly connect with people of specific knowledge areas to get questions answered fast. Say, whip out your iPhone at Best Buy and shoot a quick Q to the experts in the Gadgets topic - "Need a new SDCARD! PNY 4GB for $20 or Sandisk 4GB for $17???".

Obviously this idea would demand an active, motivated community of experts that knew what they were talking about. Maybe paid memberships for serious users with kickbacks for experts could be another incentive and the beginnings of a profit model. Must be careful the idea doesn't outgrow the domain in complexity though.

Also adding idea #3: This would be a good, solid name for a business class video conferencing service.
