DeVries is right -- they are just going to either rush and pass a normal budget quickly or pass a temporary budget. There is no way the US government will simply "shut down."

Every time in the past when the government was unable to get a budget passed in time, they pass temporary spending authorizations to fund keeping the government running until they can agree on a budget, so ...

IMHO, this time as every time in the past, will have No negative economic impact, but ...

This definitely has a Very Negative Impact on the perception of the citizens on their government / the politicians and their political infighting! ....

Wouldn't you all agree?
