I am using IdeaOffer to help me figure out what to get folks for Christmas, so I'm making a couple of these...


Ok, last one.


I want recommendations on toys that help cultivate a sense of creativity and may have some educational value to a three-and-a-half year old boy.  He already has plenty of things to distract him, now I want to find stuff that will help him grow without boring him.


Feel free to toss out as many ideas as you can.

At three? Frogs and ants might be a bit too early, may want to wait until 7 or at least 8 for that kind of thing.

Coloring books with crayons, spend time with him, read fantasy storybooks, fairytales to him.

Something like an ant farm or frog terrarium is good. Will help teach them about nature and also encourage their responsibility to take care of the animals.
